Dr. McClung

Dr. McClung grew up in Lewisburg and was a member of the last graduating class of Lewisburg High School. After attending West Virginia University for both college and dental school, he returned to Lewisburg in 1975 to practice general dentistry. In 1981, he returned to WVU to complete a two-year residency program in orthodontics achieving a master's degree in orthodontics. He feels very fortunate to have been able to return to his hometown in 1983 and limit his practice exclusively to orthodontics. Dr. McClung is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. This certification process requires several years of preparation with written examinations and case presentations, and only about 25% of practicing orthodontists have achieved this recognition by the ABO. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and the West Virginia Association of Orthodontists. Dr. McClung is married and has two grown children. He is a member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, and an avid golfer who enjoys playing golf on any day that ends in a "Y"!

Mary Collins

Mary joined our practice in July 1983 as the office manager and brought four years of orthodontic experience with her. As the practice and staff grew her role in the practice evolved. She is now our lab supervisor, records and diagnostic technician, as well as an orthodontic assistant and computer expert. She wears many hats!

Mary is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant certified by the West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners.

Sherry is our new patient treatment and financial coordinator. She has been employed with Dr. McClung since January 1994. She will be with you during your first visit and will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding treatment, insurance and/or fees, as well as appointments.

Sherry is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant certified by the West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners.

Kathy Bailey

Kathy has been an orthodontic assistant for Dr. McClung since 1983. She is highly skilled in the latest up-to-date technology. Kathy loves working with patients and feels that this field is one of the most rewarding professions. She believes that the best thing about working in the orthodontic field is seeing the patients become more aware of their dental health and see the great results through her patient's excellent efforts in creating a beautiful smile.

Kathy is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant certified by the West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners.

Susie Callison

Susie recently joined our staff as an orthodontic assistant. A day with Susie at Dr. McClung’s office would be chair side assisting with patients, instrument sterilization, taking x-rays, and scheduling appointments.

Susie retired from the Bureau of Prisons where she worked as an Inmate Systems Manager. In this capacity she managed receiving and discharge, the mailroom and records office. She retired at an early age in order to begin a new career.

She is very excited about the new challenges of orthodontics and happy to be with the many new people she will get to meet and work with.
